    The author is not a bad writer, as far as sentence construction goes. However, if she was hoping to write a persuasive argument, she failed. Also, if, in her mind, her childhood memories were linked to the subjects of her book, she did not convey that in anyway. She also completely failed at answering her own question that was the purpose of the book: why did these women brutally murder people? Unfortunately, the author of this book appears to be another infatuee of an incarcerated individual. One cannot get to know, or become friends with, someone who is in prison. Whatever manipulation skills a person has prior to becoming incarcerated, are only honed while serving time.

    Was a pretty good read until the author fell in love with Leslie. Some things just can’t be fixed and being a member of the Manson family is one of them. At least the author picked the good looking one to care about.
